The Festive Season has come and gone, and with that it saw the first official Galetti Cares charity drive draw to a close.
The first initiative was to the benefit of Tears Animal Rescue, which is a prominent dog and cat rescue organisation based in Kommetjie, Cape Town. As with the large majority of charity organisations, Tears always welcomes donations in order to help cope with their current load and to extend their reach to more animals in need across the city.
Galetti Commercial and Industrial has close ties with Tears, thus we only saw it fitting to assist during the Festive Season by calling on staff members and the general public for donations of pet food, blankets, plastic beds, play toys, various building materials and other applicable items that may be of use to Tears. We are thrilled to report that many heeded Galetti’s call and that we managed to acquire a sizeable collection of items to drop off at Tears.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank a few of our larger donors for their kind support for such a wonderful cause. These include a private veterinary practice, Perky Pets, Vondis Pet Nutrition in Sea Point, Planet Woooof in Green Point and John Gibson - who kindly provide a private cash donation all the way from Australia. These donations of course supplement many dropped off at our offices and at Tears’ offices directly by members of the public.
Tears’ need of course does not end with the conclusion of the Galetti Cares charity drive, thus we urge those who are able to continue to donate to Tears to do so in future.
Once again, thank you for the support, and stay tuned for the next Galetti Cares charity drive coming soon.
